This session will explore the customer experience focus of the Western Sydney Project Office (WSPO), focusing on road upgrades around the Western Sydney Airport set to open at Badgerys creek. Specifically this session will discuss the current traffic conditions and expectations of WSPO construction contracts including:

Case study of the Northern Road, M4 motorway and M31 Hume motorway that will discuss the treatment and conditions of these road upgrades and how RMS endeavors to maintain existing speed limits on these networks
Exploring the Road closure conditions of these contracts
Understanding WSPO's traffic management plan approval process and its mian challenges
Case study of the 9.8 second delay on the M31 motorway
Exploring the process to redesign a pedestrian bridge over a motorway and the associated lowering of motorway speed limit to increase safety on the network
